Firstly, it is of importance to check the situation of every lubrication point and the height of lubrication every four hours. All the lubrication needs to de discharged after one month, and the mill need to be cleaned thoroughly. During the normal mill running, the temperature of the drive bearing and the reduction gears should be among 55’C and 50’C. The grinding mill runs steadily and there is no strong vibration. It is necessary to adjust the space between the big and the small gear to avoid noise.
Secondly , check the wear situation of the mill in time after fastening the firmware.
Thirdly, the small gears and the main bearing need to be changed if badly worn while the big gear continue to be used in another side.
All in all, it is a regular work to maintain the ball mill. Besides, the important parts such as the main gear, reduction motor and the hollow shaft, can be examined per month, and the situation can be recorded for further medium and big maintain plans.
